We are now accepting applications for artist and handmade vendor booths for the 5th Annual Great Plains Art, Food & Makers Festival.

About the event
The Great Plains Fest is a one-day, community-driven celebration of original art, live music, local food, and regional connection. The event takes place at Sesquicentennial Point, a scenic natural amphitheater overlooking Clinton Lake and the Wakarusa River Valley. We curate a mix of artists, makers, and small businesses to create a high-quality, engaging experience for attendees.
Vendor booth details
• One 10’ x 10’ outdoor booth space
• Located within the main vendor area with steady foot traffic
• Approximately 100 vendor spaces available
• Booth placement is assigned by the festival
Vendor fee
• $100 per booth
What you can sell
• Original art and handmade goods only
• Items must be created or designed by the vendor
• No mass-produced, resale-only, or drop-shipped products
Vendor responsibilities
• Bring your own tent, tables, chairs, and display setup
• All tents must be properly weighted for safety
• Bring your own lighting if staying after sunset
• Electricity is not provided unless arranged in advance
• Vendors are responsible for their own cash handling and payment systems
Payment and internet access
We do not provide internet access. However, in all previous years, vendors have had no issues connecting their payment systems wirelessly using nearby cell towers. Reliable cellular service has consistently supported credit card processing and mobile payments throughout the event.
Setup and schedule
• Vendor load-in begins at 8:00 AM
• All vendors must be set up before gates open
• Booth locations and load-in instructions will be emailed in advance
• Vendors are encouraged to stay through the full event for best sales
Weather and refunds
• This is a rain-or-shine event
• Booth fees are non-refundable unless your application is not accepted.
Legal and compliance
• Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting Kansas sales tax
• Vendors must comply with all local, state, and federal business regulations
• Great Plains Emerging Arts Project Inc. is not liable for theft, damage, injury, or loss
• Vendors must leave their space clean and free of trash
Application process
• Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis
• You will be notified within approximately one to one and a half weeks if your application has been approved, often much sooner
