On Saturday, October 18, 2025, the 4th Annual Great Plains Art & Music Festival transforms Sesquicentennial Point in Lawrence, KS into a hillside celebration overlooking Clinton Lake and the Wakarusa Valley. This year, admission is required for all guests—there is no free portion of the event. Attendees are coming with the intention of enjoying live professional music, food, and original art, and they will be your customers.

For just $20 admission, hundreds of guests are expected to experience a curated day of regional touring acts, local favorites, handmade vendors, food trucks, dessert trucks, and artisan foods like baked goods, honey, and pickles.

Music Lineup Highlights

Two stages of unforgettable performances:

• MoonShroom – progressive bluegrass with psychedelic flair; roots-driven and improvisational, a regional favorite on the festival circuit.

• Pretend Friend – nationally touring progressive bluegrass from Wichita; shared stages with Béla Fleck’s My Bluegrass Heart and Yonder Mountain String Band.

• Half Tiger Half Bear – rising indie rock with soaring vocals and layered textures, quickly earning Midwest recognition.

• Page 7 – reggae-inspired grooves and soulful energy that get crowds moving.

• Jessica Paige Band – pop-folk with powerhouse vocals; Jessica Paige first gained attention as an American Idol finalist.

• Black Light Animals – Kansas City’s cinematic psychedelic soul, with national acclaim for their debut LP Playboys of the Western World.

• Dames of the Dead – an all-female Grateful Dead tribute bringing fresh energy to the classic jam sound.

• Sirens in the Suburbs – Lawrence-based folk-rock harmonies with a strong local following.

• Brody Buster One Man Band – Kansas blues legend; once a child prodigy praised by B.B. King, now a powerhouse one-man act.

Vendor Pricing

• New Vendors: $85

• Returning Vendors: $45 (please provide past email(s) and your business name so we can verify your status).

Booth Details

Each vendor receives a 10x10 space. Vendors must bring their own tent, tables, and displays. Electricity is not guaranteed. Setup opens at 8:30 AM and all booths must be ready by 11:00 AM. Festival hours run 12:30 PM – midnight.

Vendors are not required to stay all night—you may close down after the daytime portion if you wish—but you are welcome to remain through the evening.

Weights & Stakes – Safety Requirement

The amphitheater’s hillside is beautiful but breezy. Typical winds are 5–15 mph, requiring at least 30–40 lbs per tent leg. If gusts exceed 20 mph, vendors must be prepared with 75–100 lbs per leg plus stakes (12–24”). At 30+ mph, tents may need to be lowered for safety. Unsecured tents will not be allowed.

A Vendor Tent Anchoring Guide PDF will be emailed to you after purchase with DIY instructions and examples. Affordable rental weights are also available locally at Cottin’s Hardware in Lawrence. Similarly you can search DIY solutions for weighing down your tent on the internet for a lot of ideas.

Once you purchase your ticket, your booth space is reserved. Final load-in details and logistics will be emailed closer to the event.

This festival is more than a single day—it’s about building a tradition. Each year we aim to grow the experience, attract more customers, and strengthen support for future events in this same park, including the long-term vision of an amphitheater. Your participation helps make that possible.
